When you first play the game (after you've watched the video sequence), you will be presented with a view of the galaxy and a couple of robots. If playing as the Empire, they will be IMP-22 military protocol droid and his message droid, or for the Rebels, C3PO (without Anthony Daniels doing the voice-over) and his message droid (R2D2). They will first present you with a breifing (which you should listen to) and then continually offer you advice (which can get annoying after the first 50 messages...).
You can turn off their advice by right clicking on them, and deselecting Agent Advice. While doing this you may also notice there are many other options. You can set an agent to run practically the whole game for you, but they are more stupid than you should believe! Try setting them to manage resources for you - this means that they will deploy mines and refineries. I highly recommend this, because it automatically will mine planets with free resources, and setting up mines individually is a boring, painstaking process!
Hint - The other options that concern manufacture are best left un-ticked unless all you want from the game is a space battle simulation.
D: Stands for diplomacy, how good a character is at diplomatic missions
E: stands for Espionage, how good a spy the character is
C: Combat- used in any mission which could use a gun...
Ld: Leadership, whether troops will follow this person
Des: Design, whether or not this person can advance the side's technology
With each game, character's statistics will change, to get the best idea of what the character's stats are please mail them to me here so i can average the results and put them on this page. Thankyou.
This list is not yet complete, if you know a character's stats that aren't on here please mail them to me (above). NB, the character's stats vary throughout the game itself, i would prefer the charcter's starting stats. The gaps are mostly Jedi whos stats get boosted with force training. Please don't send me the stats of a Jedi Character (except the starting stats for Vader, the Emperor and Luke) because they are altered.
